The iPhone 15 is a dual SIM (nano) smartphone with an additional ceramic shield for extra protection, featuring a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. This year, Apple has introduced the dynamic island with the iPhone 15, a feature previously available in the iPhone 14 Pro models. The display supports up to 2000 nits of peak brightness and has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
In contrast, the iPhone 15 Plus boasts a larger 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display.
Unlike last year's models, the primary camera on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 2um quad pixel sensor and an f/1.6 aperture. The smartphone also features a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/1.6 aperture and sensor-shift stabilization. On the front of the handset, there is a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera.
Apple's new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are powered by the company's A16 Bionic chip, which also drove last year's iPhone 14 Pro models. It is worth noting that both handsets come with a USB Type-C port, a first for iPhone. Apple has not provided details about the RAM or battery capacity for either handset.
